The feasibility of detemining peculiar cluster velocities from measurements of the kinematic Suniaev-Zel'dovich (SZ) effect is discussed. How the spectral characteristics of the kinematic and thermal SZ effects can be optimally exploited to enable the kinematic intensity change to be determined is shown. A list of clusters is presented for which the kinematic SZ effect might be measurable at the optimal frequency where the thermal SZ effect vanishes.
