The following problem is considered: Given the disturbing function of the potential of a body expressed in terms of a coordinate system with origin at the center of mass of the body and fixed to the body, one seeks an expression for the potential in terms of another coordinate system oriented with respect to the first by the three Euler angles. The transformation of the spherical functions given by Wigner (1959) and the Kaula (1966) eccentricity functions are employed. An approximation when the Euler angle theta is small is given.
