Applying a method that removed the CMB anisotropy, we performed an extragalactic point source search in the WMAP three years V- and W-band data and found 21 new source candidates (i.e. not included in the WMAP point source catalog). Of the sources newly detected, we successfully associated all but four with radio counterparts. For the four puzzled ones, we searched the 2σ circle of their locations at the VLA 3.6 cm and 0.7 cm bands, CARMA 3 mm band and ATCA 3 cm band. Preliminary results from VLA observations show no strong evidence of 1 Jy point sources at the 2 northern candidate positions, which suggests these two might be false detections generated by the statistical error. The investigation of CARMA and ATCA data is in progress. We will give final conclusions on these unidentified sources in the meeting. Combining the new sources obtained in our search with those in the WMAP point source catalog, we remodeled the source count distribution, and re-estimated the residual contamination due to unresolved point sources at WMAP V-band.
