Blue Compact Dwarf Galaxies, Starburst Galaxies and Active Galactic Nuclei are systems that differ greatly in their physical properties. However, they all show the presence of MIR narrow atomic lines in their spectra. These lines are powerful probes of the contributors to the ISM ionization field since they are directly linked to the EUV-FUV shape of the Interstellar Radiation Field. I will present an analysis of the properties of the Intrstellar Radiation Field of a sample of BCD, Starburst Galaxies and AGN studied using the MIR nebular lines observed with the Spitzer space telescope. The analysis will focus on the physical properties derived from these lines and the conclusions that can be drawn about the different type of engines, stellar or non-stellar, that contribute to the Interstellar Radiation Field.
