Observations of eight spherical stellar clusters are compared with open
stellar clusters and the Coma galactic cluster. Photometric measurements
reveal the ratio of the escape velocity at the center of the clusters to
the mean velocity to be approximately 2.5 for open star clusters, 2.7
for globular clusters, and 2.8 for the Coma cluster
