The spectra of three oxygen-type technetium stars have been searched for
bands of TcO, based on recent laboratory identifications by Cherniawsky
(1977). No evidence for this molecule has been found. Its absence in
stellar spectra can probably be attributed to a low degree of molecular
association and heavy blending in the regions of its bandheads.
