The accretion shocks in magnetic Cataclysmic Variables (mCVs) provide one of the most active astrophysical laboratories for observational investigation. With the use of time resolved photopolarimetric observations we have developed a technique which allows us to map the shape, size and location of the accretion shock on the surface of the magnetic white dwarf. We have successfully applied this technique to several mCVs which has given us valuable insights into the accretion dynamics of these systems.
