The results of a power spectrum analysis of a train of 3968 pulses received from PSR 1919+21 at 1420 MHz are presented. It is shown that the P subscript 3 period of this pulsar may vary in a quasi-periodic manner on the timescale of about 30 min, within a narrow range of values corresponding to the width of the P subscript 3 feature in the average power spectrum. Some theoretical implications of this new effect are discussed.
