The astrometric accuracy and image fidelity of a source is often limited by persistent atmospherically-induced phase offsets between the calibrator and the source. However, the angular dependence of this phase error can be lessened by observations with several calibrators. From the 2002 Jupiter deflection experiment in which two calibrators were used, a relative positional accuracy <10 μas and image fidelity >100 was obtained, an improvement by about a factor of three from using one calibrator.
