The naked-eye view of the full Moon and Mars together was captured by
Peter Paice, Belfast, on 2003 August 12/13 at midnight UT using an
Olympus 730 Ultra Zoom digital camera, with no additional processing
applied. In a partly cloudy sky, the secret was to wait until clouds
partly occluded the power of the Moon, and Mars was in a clear patch.
