Provisional (V, B-V) diagrams for several of van den Bergh's (1964) OB associations in the Andromeda Nebula (M31) are obtained from plates taken at the Cassegrain foci of 2 m and 1 m Ritchey-Chretien telescopes in order to study the structure of its spiral arms and the position and properties of young groupings of stars. It is found that the proportion of red supergiants in the Andromeda galaxy increases with distance from its center, just as is observed in our Galaxy and in M33. Plates with a limit of 21-22 m B are found to show a considerable number of new star groupings evidently devoid of O stars or relatively compact.
