Stars near the galaxies M 83 and NGC 5128 are studied by means of UBVRI
photoelectric sequences. Objects detected are listed in order of visual
magnitude, and it is found that they exhibit a magnitude range of
9.7-18.2. Attention is given to the Graham (1981) photoelectric sequence
for NGC 5128.
