The use of data from the Hubble Space Telescope (HST), and the number of refereed publications produced from this data, are now dominated by HST archival research. The Hubble Legacy Archive (HLA) is currently being constructed as a means of providing a heightened level of HST archival data to the astronomical community. We provide a general examination of the planned strategy and the steps currently being taken to produce source catalogs for HST's Advanced Camera for Surveys (ACS) imaging data as a user resource to be included in the initial release of the HLA. We plan to provide both Source Extractor and IRAF Daophot-based catalogs to facilitate the needs of the community in the identification of extended and point sources, respectively. These catalogs will be created from drizzled, combined (at the visit-level), and astrometrically corrected ACS images. Future plans include the development of an "All-HST-Sky" catalog that will include observations for the various HST instruments.
