New Chandra X-ray and VLA observations of Hickson Compact Groups will be presented in the context of the evolution of individual galaxies and their ISM under the influence of the group environment. Evidence for the build-up of hot intragroup medium will be presented along with the accompanying reduction in the cold ISM content among the individual member galaxies. Possible evidence for high speed collisions is also discussed.
