The IUE spectra of BM Ori show SiIV and CIV absorption lines, which are shifted by -69 km/s relative to the photospheric lines of a star and do not change their position with the orbital phase of the primary. These satellite lines cannot form in a stellar wind, and probably originate in an ionized gas cloud or microjet located in the line of sight. No satellite lines were found for other bright stars of the Orion Trapezium.
