Consideration is given to the evolutionary method for synthesizing the U, B, V colors of galaxies. It is noted that, in general, U, B, V data alone are inadequate to provide definitive informataion on the true evolutionary and star-formation parameters of galaxies. U, B, V colors are calculated and compared with published observations for elliptical galaxies. It is found that all elliptical galaxies were formed at about the same epoch, with a mean dispersion of approximately 3-billion years; and that giant elliptical galaxies are richer in low-mass stars than the solar neighborhood.
