A 1420 MHz synthesis map of VRO 42.05.01 (G166.0 + 4.3), of resolution 1.0 arcmin x 1.4 arcmin is presented. The radio source clearly possesses two components, both having nonthermal spectra. One component has the typical appearance of a shelltype supernova remnant (SNR); the other, which partly overlaps the shell, has an irregular outline, includes linear ridges of emission, and shows limb brightening. Both components can be distinguished on photographs. The simplest model for the object involves a single SNR whose expansion has proceeded at very different rates in two regions of sharply differeing density. Some unusual features may indicate the presence of an active stellar remnant. A model involving two successive supernovae is considered less likely.
