W Uma Contact Binary, Observational Characteristic, Theoretical Model

Scientific paper

A review of the observational and theoretical study history for the W
UMa-type contact binaries is presented in this paper. The observational
characteristics and the theoretical results for this kind of stars are
summarized. Finally, some of problems and possible solution for the
theoretical models of the W UMa-type contact binaries are discussed.
