Results of a 6-cm VLBI experiment are combined with previous VLBI results at 13 and 18 cm in an attempt to determine approximate spectra for the compact nuclear radio sources in 15 galaxies. It is found that a simple self-absorbed synchrotron spectrum fits the available data for 11 sources, that one source (NGC 6500) is too complex to model with a single-component spectrum, and that the remaining three sources are too highly variable to obtain reliable spectra. Hybrid maps are presented for NGC 1218, 3C 120, and NGC 4278. For the 12 sources with well-determined turnover frequencies, magnetic field strengths and radiative lifetimes are estimated. It is shown that, in general, the magnetic fields are comparable to those in more luminous compact sources, so that the luminosity differences are probably due to differences in the total number of relativistic particles.
