An analysis is given of radial velocity data from observations of the H-alpha profile in the spectrum of Delta Orionis, which shows phase-dependent changes over a period of variation equal to the orbital period of the binary system. The changes observed in the profile shape go from a normal absorption profile at zero phase, to a P Cyg type at a later phase, to an absorption profile having emission at the center of the profile, and back to a normal profile at the end of the period. Assuming that the P Cyg profile is formed by a spherically symmetrical region, the analysis yields a shell radius of 2.18 stellar radii and a shell electron density of 6.54 x 10 to the -9th/cu cm, an observed expansion velocity of 50 km/sec and a mass loss of 1.3 x 10 to the -7th solar masses/year. The presence of apsidal motion is confirmed by the increasing value of omega, and the periodic variation shown by the center of mass confirms the presence of a third body.
