Broad, doubled emission lines of H and He I dominate the spectrum of the southern white dwarf candidate PS 74, which resembles the spectra of cataclysmic variables having high orbital inclination. Photoelectric photometry has shown behavior typical of an SU UMa-type dwarf nova during decline from a superoutburst, and spectroscopic observations during quiescence have yielded variable continuum flux, equivalent widths and radial velocities that are consistent with an orbital period of about 2.0 hours and a 120 km/sec semiamplitude of the white dwarf primary radial velocity curve. A hump light curve in quiescence is predicted, along with probable eclipses of the hot spot.
