Spectra are presented of the Type II SN 1980k in NGC 6946 obtained with the Reticon system of Asiago Observatory on 29 and 30 December 1980, approximately 60 d past the V-light maximum. One spectrum extends to 9900 A and shows the near infrared Ca II triplet in emission. The prominent emissions are H-alpha and the complex region around 8560 A. The profile of H-alpha is quite complex, with the peak of intensity blue-shifted by some 650 km/sec and the blue wing falling down rapidly to reach a shallow minimum at 6440 A, while on the red side the line drops more slowly and can be traced to at least plus 6000 km/sec.
