The role of stochastic processes in the dynamics of a massive black hole
situated at the center of a star cluster is discussed. It is shown that
under certain conditions the black hole is able to escape from the mass
center of the system and has to execute a Brownian motion influenced by
fluctuating stellar perturbations.
