We are at the dawn of a new era in astronomy, when the entire sky will be imaged to depths which are challenging to spectroscopy on even the largest telescopes, with a cadence to track the variation of most celestial objects. Precursor surveys such as SDSS and Megaprime have been limited in temporal or angular coverage, but continuous observations of the entire sky will soon be routine. Moore's Law has met the Universe and Moore's Law won.
I will discuss these nascent capabilities, the exciting opportunities that they will create, and the implications for astronomy as a whole.
