Scientific paper

Mass spectroscopy data obtained during the Pioneer Venus mission are used in conjunction with current theoretical concepts to develop a model for the composition of the dayside atmosphere of Venus at 110-200 km under the conditions of high solar activity. The model is then used to calculate CO2, O, CO, N2, O2, and He profiles. The results obtained are found to be in good agreement with the observational data.
