The gravitational lens SDSS1029+2623 consists of two z=2.197 mini-BAL quasars of nearly identical radio-loudness separated by 22.5 arcsec and superposed on a z~0.55 cluster. While such cluster quasar lenses are rare, their incidence is a powerful probe of the cosmological model, and their properties are a powerful probe of cluster structure. We will use a 25 ksec XMM/MOS observation to obtain the independent determinations of the position and mass of the cluster that are next step to using SDSS J1029+2623 as a cosmological tool. This is of particular interest here because lens models appear to require a potential center significantly offset (30 kpc) from the brightest galaxies.
