The results are given of a spectroscopic investigation of the galaxy NGC
2814. It is suggested that there is autonomous rotation of a giant H II
region in the northern part of the galaxy with an angular velocity of
0.7. 10 to the -14th rad/sec. The masses of the H II region and the
inner part of the galaxy are estimated.
