Solar-B, a satellite designed to study the Sun's magnetic field through coordinated measurements of the solar atmosphere, successfully launched from Uchinoura Space Center in Kagoshima, Japan, on 23 September. Lead by the Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXArpar, Solar-B, called Hinobe (Sunrise) in Japanese following launch, is a collaboration among the space agencies of Japan, U.S., and Europe
