A very long baseline interferometry (VLBI) observation model for a source at a finite distance was derived. Expressions of partial derivatives of the group delay with respect to source motions and antenna coordinates were obtained as well as that of the group delay rate. These will be useful in analyzing the lunar VLBI observation now planned.
