Supersymmetric Partners Of Known Particles, Axions And Other Nambu-Goldstone Bosons, Particle-Theory And Field-Theory Models Of The Early Universe

Scientific paper

In a supersymmetric theory with a spontaneously broken global symmetry G, if the scale of supersymmetry breaking, Ms, is smaller than the scale MG of the global symmetry, the Nambu-Goldstone boson χ is accompanied by two massive superpartners (a fermionic Ψχ and a scalar boson σχ) with a mass of the order of Ms. Cosmological considerations imply stringent constraints on the couplings of Ψχ and σχ. Application of these considerations to the supersymmetric singlet Majoron model leads to an upper limit on the scale VBL of global U(1)B-L symmetry to be <=1014 GeV, for reasonable values of parameters in the theory.
