An emission nebula in the constellation Cygnus, position RA 20 h 58.8 m, dec. +44° 20'. It is large, measuring 120' by 100'. In outline it bears a strong resemblance to the North American continent, delineated by surrounding dark nebulae, including one known appropriately as the Gulf of Mexico.
