This proposal is to ask for time to check the absolute photometric calibration for specific fields in the SMC and LMC, in support of two projects that have been awarded time on HST WFPC2 in Cycle 6 (6604) and Cycle 8 (8151). Although the HST calibration for the filters chosen (F555W, F814W) appears to be reliable, there are sufficient concerns relating to the performance of the WFPC2 CCDs to make an independent check of the photometric zeropoints advisable. We will also measure U,B,V for some of the brightest stars in the fields to check the reddening.
