Relevant excitation functions for electron-induced spallation are presented for use in models of various astrophysical sites such as pulsars, supernova remnants, and in particular for the evaluation of the B/C ratio in quasars. The cross-sections for nuclear gamma-ray lines are evaluated that are due to high energy photons produced by bremsstrahlung emissions resulting from high-energy electrons. The disintegration of nuclei is discussed in terms of the Coulomb scattering process and the giant dipole nuclear state excitation process.
