We present initial results from comet observations performed during the first year of Spitzer Space Telescope operations. These include a survey of short-period comets to search for dust trails at 24 μ m using the Multiband Imaging Photometer (MIPS), a shallow spectroscopic survey of short-period comets using the Infrared Spectrograph (IRS), and detailed images of comets Encke and 2002 T7 (LINEAR) at 3.6, 4.5, 5.8, and 8 μ m using the Infrared Array Camera (IRAC).
