The Moon was observed by the Chandra X-ray Observatory in May, June, and July 2004, for a total of 33.2 ksec with the HRC-I camera, which images 0.1-10 keV photons with a point-spread function FWHM of 0.5". Two images each at phase angles of 23, 25, and 54 degrees were obtained. The mean energy of the detected photons is of order 500eV. The Moon just overfills the 30'x30' HRC-I field of view, but the bright limb is well positioned in most of the frames. The preliminary x-ray images show a clear, though low-contrast, albedo reversal with respect to images in visible light. We will present further results regarding the x-ray albedo and phase function.
