High resolution spectra of 25 F stars in visual binary systems were obtained with the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope in a search for a correlation between Li abundance and the age of F stars. Computerized scans were made for equivalent widths of the Li 6707 A resonance, the Ca I 6717 A line and five neighboring Fe I lines. Stars cooler than 6300 K exhibited an order of magnitude spread in Li abundance, symptomatic of age-dependent depletion of Li in late F and early G stars. Li was depleted by factors of 6-20 in stars with temperatures from 6300-6700 K, a depletion/temperature pattern also seen in Hyades and mid-F stars, and which may be affected by the presence of companion objects.
