The sigma and pi absorption and line dispersion coefficients are expanded in powers of the magnetic field strength for arbitrary anomalous Zeeman splitting patterns. The coefficients of the expansion can be expressed either as a function of the various moments of the splitting pattern, or directly as a function of the quantum numbers of the atomic transition. Tables allowing the computation of the moments for any electric dipole transition, up to the eighth order, are presented, along with tables of the expansion coefficients for electric dipole transitions in the case of LS-coupling, up to the eighth order. The convergence of the expansion of the sigma and pi absorption coefficients as a function of the field strength and splitting pattern is illustrated.
