The Prometheus lava flow on Io is a compound pahoehoe flow field. The
morphologies of individual flow units and of the flow field as a whole
are consistent with a total magma supply rate of ~200-400 m^3 s^-1
feeding ~30 local lava outbreaks at any one time with effusion rates of
~10 m^3 s^-1 each.
