The Carter National Observatory is situated in the Botanic Gardens in
Wellington, New Zealand. Opened in 1941, the observatory is equipped
with a 41 cm Boller and Chivens, an historic 23 cm Cooke photo-visual
refractor and a 36 seat Zeiss planetarium. The staff are involved in
research, school and tertiary education programs....
