Giant planets played a crucial role in the making of the Solar System
and undoubtfully of millions of planetary systems in the Galaxy. I will
review how we can constrain their compositions and how comparisons to
the compositions of their parent stars (including the Sun) can help us
to better comprehend their structure and the formation of planets.
