The renormalization group equations of the Yang-Mills theory and non-linear sigma model are examined in the non-critical string theory from the framework of the holography. Under a simple ansatz for the tachyon, we could find two kinds of asymptotic-free solutions for the Yang-Mills theory, and we obtain quark-confinement potential from these solutions. The solution obtained for non-linear sigma model shows an ultra-violet fixed point at a finite coupling constant.
