We have paired the historical record of ground-based supernova observations with new observations from the Chandra X-ray Observatory to develop a timeline poster and accompanying interdisciplinary education activities. We provide a basis for the development of materials to explore such topics as the process of matching sources with historical accounts, the geologic record, pre-human and human history in the context of celestial events, and other interdisciplinary approaches. Content is suitable for middle and high school students and aligned with national STEM education standards.
