Photoelectrically calibrated plates behind an RG 1 filter are used to compile data pertaining to luminosity functions for ten rich clusters. Cluster and background data are obtained from the same plate to reduce error. An evaluation of the data indicates that the luminosity functions consist of a linear portion and a high-luminosity toe. The size of the toe is found not to correlate with cluster BM type. Attention is given to a parameter MF (0), which has a dispersion of 0.2 mag for the data sample discussed.
