The chemical composition of the star UU Her, which is the prototype of a new group of variable F-supergiants at high galactic latitudes is investigated. The following atmospheric parameters were determined: T(ef) = 5500 K, lg g of about 0.4, metallicity = -1.2, luminosity of about -8 m, and distance from the galactic plane of 16 kpk. It is concluded that UU Her is an object at the post-AGB stage in the galactic halo.
