We report the results of a joint ASCA and EUVE observing campaign on the RS CVn binary system UX Ari that took place in late August 1998. The ASCA observations took place over 2 days (31% of UX Ari's 6.44 day orbital period) for an effective exposure of 110 kiloseconds, while the EUVE observations took place over 4.3 days (66% of UX Ari's period) and had a similar effective exposure time to ASCA. We present the light-curves as a function of bandpass (EUVE DS, ASCA soft-band and ASCA hard-band) for the duration of these observations, and discuss the observed frequency of flare events. We present the results of analyses of the ASCA and EUVE spectra which derive information on the temperature structure (differential emission measure), the elemental abundances, and densities of the coronal plasma in the UX Ari binary system. We also discuss the findings of time-resolved ASCA spectroscopy, where we have extracted spectra both as a function of orbital phase and of flux level. We compare the results of this joint ASCA/EUVE campaign with those of previous similar campaigns on RS CVn and other active stars.
