A reanalysis of published archival material on eclipses in the binary system KT Hydrae indicates that a period analysis is biased unduly by the two oldest observations. This is attributed to an error of - 0.5 day in the Julian Dates adopted for these observations. Allowing for this error leads to a revised linear ephemeris (HJD 2444669.730 + 3.387004.E) from which the 0 - C residuals are not significantly greater than the uncertainty in the timing of the individual minima. The archival material does not, therefore, support a previous claim that the period of KT Hydrae has been variable over the past century.
