SDSS imaging and spectroscopic data for the Taurus star formation region have found a large number of new late-type emission-line stars, of which 19 are shown by their weak NaI 8190\AA{} absorption to be likely pre-main-sequence stars. These latter stars have strong emission in the {\it Spitzer} IRAC and MIPS images of the cloud, showing the presence of circumstellar disks. Further candidate T Tau stars are identified by their SDSS and 2MASS colors, and their distribution is mapped across the Taurus cloud.
Based on data from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (http://www.sdss.org/). This research is supported by NASA via grant 1264472 to Princeton University.
