The nearby barred spiral galaxy NGC 1313 contains three ultraluminous X-ray sources (two accreting binaries and the unusual ultraluminous Type IIn supernova SN 1978K) as well as other bright persistent and transient X-ray sources. Here we will discuss our radio (Australia Telescope Compact Array and Australian Long Baseline Array) and X-ray (XMM-Newton) monitoring observations of NGC 1313.
