The author analyzes a special scale invariant effective theory with vanishing cosmological constant. He shows that, in this theory, the spatial-independence of the inflaton is implied by the equation of motion incorporated with the Robertson-Walker metric. Furthermore, he finds that this theory can be solved exactly for k = 0 Robertson-Walker spaces. He also finds almost exact solution in k ≠ 0 spaces.
