Our program is intended to study galaxy evolution through the investigation of galaxy morphology as a function of lookback time. The development of disks and bulges, the role of mergers, interactions, and other environmental influences, are expected to be visible over the range 0 < z < 1 as judged by the spectrophotometric evolution already observed over this redshift. This proposal aims to assess the capabilities of the refurbished HST to tackle such problems in cosmology.
